For your seldom-driven cars, we suggest the following services to be performed on an annual basis:

  • Read the ECU for any fault codes.

  • Inspect the underside of the vehicle and the engine compartment. Check for any leaks, rubbing of lines or wires, and mounting of the underbody.

  • Inspect all coolant hoses and radiators; clean out any debris that may have made its way into the ducting.

  • Check the power-steering system for any leaks- top off the reservoir if needed. Inspect the rest of the steering system including the rack, tie rods, and ends.

  • Oil filter service- change the oil and filter, cut the existing filter and inspect for the presence of metallic particles.

  • Inspect brake pads, lines, and hoses. Flush the system if needed.

  • Inspect the half-shafts for excessive play and torn boots. For all-wheel-drive equipped cars, the drive-shaft is also inspected.

  • Check all tires for dry-rotting and cracks. Adjust the pressures as needed.

  • Inspect all drains and crevices for debris.

  • Inspect the lighting system and adjust as needed. Inspect the horn and all other electrical components.

    For the daily-drivers, we suggest the following every 15,000 miles.

  • Oil filter service- change the oil and filter, cut the existing filter and inspect for the presence of metallic particles.

  • Check the ECU for any error codes.

  • Inspect the air-filter, clean or replace if necessary.

  • Inspect the underside of the vehicle and the engine compartment. Check for any leaks, rubbing of lines or wires, and mounting of the underbody.

  • Check the power-steering system for any leaks- top off the reservoir if needed. Inspect the rest of the steering system including the rack, tie rods, and ends.

  • Check coolant level as necessary.

  • Inspect all coolant hoses and radiators; clean out any debris that may have made its way into the ducting.

  • Replace the pollen filter.

  • Inspect brake pads, lines, and hoses. Check the brake fluid level and top-off if needed.

  • Inspect the half-shafts for excessive play and torn boots. For all-wheel-drive equipped cars, the drive-shaft is also inspected.

  • Check all tires for dry-rotting and cracks. Adjust the pressures as needed.

  • Inspect all drains and crevices for debris.

  • Ensure the correct operation of all locks, latches, and power-lock systems.

  • 2002 and later models will receive special attention to the luggage compartment safety release latches.

  • Inspect the lighting system and adjust as needed. Inspect the horn and all other electrical components.

  • Complete windshield washer system inspection- check the fluid level, nozzle aim, and condition of the wipers.

In addition to the above, we also perform the following every 30,000 miles.

  • Check the condition of the drive-belt.

  • Complete inspection of the fuel-system- hoses, clamps, and a fuel pressure check.

  • Inspect the functionality of the e-brake, and address if needed.

  • Brake fluid flush.

  • Inspect the throttle position sensor using the PIWIS module.

  • Inspect the suspension linkages and ensure the correct torque specifications are met.

  • Nut-and-bolt the exhaust system and check for leaks.

  • Inspect the seat-belts to ensure correct operation.

    In addition to the above, we also perform the following every 60,000 miles.

  • Replace the drive-belt.

  • Replace spark-plugs.

  • Replace fuel-filter.


    In addition to the above, we also perform the following every 90,000 miles.

  • Replace the drive-train fluids (MTF or ATF) and differentials.

  • Check the air-bag system and the roll-over protection system on cabrios.
